Cross Stitch it on a Pillow, Vol. 5

You may have tangible wealth untold,
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold,
Richer than I you will never be,
I had a mother who read to me.
~ Strickland Gillilan

This week, I attended a seminar presented by the Green County Libraries regarding reading readiness for kids. I was absolutely amazed at the information I gained in one hour and very glad I went. This quote was used in the presentation and I love it. I remember the books my mom read to me and even in the tone/voices she used to read them. I am hoping my kids will grow to love the time I spend with them reading books - I know I sure do! Any chance I can get to hold those busy babies close just for a minute makes this momma VERY happy.
