It's hard for me to speak in front of a group of people I know but have no problem standing in front if a class of 80 people I don't know!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13539047353482609668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706559235595185632.post-86444063529930534112010-06-29T14:51:48.898-07:002010-06-29T14:51:48.898-07:00Hey girl- loving the blog! I avoided public speaking like the plague and searched for a major that wouldn't require me to have it. I had to take a Comm. 101 class my 2nd semester and about died. I was one of those timid girls that would dash to the bathroom when my turn to answer a question was coming up.

By the end of my extremely long college career, I had a 2 hour presentation (oral only) that I misjudged by a week- not like I'm a procrastinator or anything. I pulled it of you know where, got a standing ovation, and a 100%, the first ever in the class. On a presentation on Nazi Germany, which is such a common subject.

Now, I do public speaking as a profession and LOVE it!!! But I still won't walk up to a sales clerk or into a gas station and ask for directions.Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01157403305128622210noreply@blogger.com
